PROOF About Saturn.......
The car business is tough. There are many makes and models of automobiles and finances can be tight. when it comes to any biases towards a car maker Benjauto has the years of experience to weed out the crap. We base our inventory choices on engineering and reliability with a little bit of style.
Well.......
Saturns overall are simply a well thought out and brilliantly built automobiles, most of them. They start in the cold winter and don't overheat in the hot summer. They warm up fast in the cold winter and cool down fast in the hot summer.
Saturns are rust and dent resistant, they are excellent on fuel with 40 MPG or better. The plastic bodies for the exception of the roof hood and trunk look good for a long time and the proof is when the 1992's are still spotted driving around. "From electrically charging our spaceframes and emmersing them in corrosion-resistant material to applying waterproofing sealant to critical seams..." When a Saturn is parked beside an import of the same age the evidence is clear, the rust resisting on a Saturn goes right down to the frame. The rust on anything else goes right down to the frame. Saturn autobody repair is like building a snap together model like when we were kids. PROOF AND RESEARCH IS PLASTIC CANNOT RUST AND WILL NOT DENT! (SATURN BROCHURE CAN BE PROVIDED)
Saturns are engineered on the what we call the KISS principal which means Keep It Simple Stupid. They can be repaired by a novice mechanic or do it yourselfer with very little effort and when working on them "It all makes sense." They are inexpensive in regard to parts and labor no matter who does the work. Saturn were NOT designed to be an over engineered automobile with a do it or else maintenance schedule. THERE IS NO NEED FOR A SPECIAL MECHANIC TO SERVICE A SATURN! (SATURN BROCHURE CAN BE PROVIDED AS PROOF) "AS THE FIRST COMPANY TO USE LOST FOAM CASTING IN A LARGE SCALE AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATION....."
One of the biggest reason we highly recommend buying a Saturn while they are still available is the metal TIMING CHAIN engines. Other makes and models that have a rubber timing belt engine demand the belts to be changed or else. In simple terms "what sounds better holding the engine together" a rubber band or metal chain? (PLEASE RESEARCH MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES OF TIMING BELTS VS CHAINS)
The engines are pretty much maintenance free. This means check and change the oil when the car tells the owner to do so. YES a Saturn will determine on its own when it needs an oil change. Clutches and automatic transmissions are very durable and we have serviced abused Saturns and are not surprised at how well they hold up as we have seen what they are made of, inside and out. This is a car meant for long commutes to send kids off to university with and a 5 speed is also very easy to drive. (EVIDENCE BEING TOP DOWN TRANSMISSION PAN VALVE BODY AND 5 EASILY REPLACEABLE SOLENOIDS)
Benjauto will not sell a Saturn on the promise that they are perfect and will never break down. What we will say is the overall longevity and easy ownership is why Saturns were sold in the first place. They are as close to perfect as a human being can create in our experienced opinions. The best salesman to sell a Saturn is a Saturn owner and when doing online research a bad review can still a good review. Not every Saturn that rolled off the assembly line was good and we will the first ones say they had a few bad years and seemed to have learned from their mistakes.....We won't sell those years and models and at least there were not many mistakes. (PLEASE RESEARCH SATURN CVT TRANSMISSION)
We ask all car shoppers to trust us on this one and do a little research with an open mind and realistic expectations when buying any automobile. When reading a review on a Saturn that spews trash talk, as there will be some of that, please read between the lines in regards to the cost of a repair and what the repair was. When comparing service histories of a Saturn to most other makes and models that cost even more to buy the research points back to Saturn. There are more reasons to buy a Saturn that there is not to. www.edmonds.com is very good
Things we sometimes hear and we can only answer while trying not to laugh. The top 4.....
1. "They don't make Saturns anymore" ANSWER: Yes the same with Sunfires, Cavaliers, Grand Ams, Grand Prix, Firefly, Sprint, Tracker, Envoy, Trailblazer, Bravada, Pursuit, Cobalt, Blazer, Aztec.........The list goes on and this is just GM and these vehicles are still selling!
2 ."You can't get parts anymore"...ANSWER: If that were true Benjauto would not be able to service Saturns and we are doing just fine. SOME parts take a little longer to ship, but there has not been a part we cannot find.
3. "There's no place to fix them" ANSWER: If not at an approved Benjauto service centre....Fix it yourself or any repair shop. We even recommend GM dealerships as they are GM cars which makes the same sense as where to take a broken Cadillac. (PROOF IS THE RECENT RECALL NOTICES TO GM DEALERSHIPS regarding Saturn recalls)
4. "Parts are expensive" ANSWER: Didn't you just say you can't get parts? NO! Parts are not expensive. Research will show that in comparison parts are the same or less than most other makes and models and with less repairs needed repair costs are minimal.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. For more answers to more question just email or call us as we know this stuff and can answer most questions.
